Nutritional Counseling

Eating well is integral to our overall health and well-being, yet making the best food and diet choices is challenging. Through our nutritional counseling sessions I will support and motivate you to eat healthy for life... the life of your baby.

There is a lot of conflicting nutritional information out there these days, whether you're receiving it from books, friends, or even your doctor. Sorting through all of that information can be challenging and frustrating. I work with women and families in order to create positive and manageable changes over time.

Did you know a Harvard study shows that almost all cases of pre-eclampsia and metabolic toxemia of late pregnancy are preventable with proper nutrition? Did you know that gestational diabetes can be prevented and/or managed by following a simple set of nutritional guidelines? There is no other time in your life when what you eat or don't eat is of the utmost importance!


Nutrition is also extremely important during the postpartum days. Inadequate hydration and absorption of nutrients can severely affect your milk supply as well as your overall health. By adopting positive nutritional habits during the prenatal period you are more likely to carry those on into the postpartum period. However, it's never too late to start improving your lifestyle and diet... if you've already had your baby but are seeking extra support, I can help!
